Xmas Lunch 2017 - (Walhampton arms Lymington)
This was a really super lunch. Organised superbly by Rita Wye who was  profusely thanked and presented with enough chocolate to keep her going for a while. Thankyou to all attending members who contributed to the chocolates and the collection which was also passed to Rita so she can enjoy a post Xmas lunch on grateful members.
It was  also rewarding to embarass Jan Leppard wih a rousing rendition of happy birthday, she can thank Jen Lewis who gave me the nod. Also we wished Doug Lewis happy birthday for the 20th of this month on the occasion of his 99th birthday. I know we all look forward to celebrating Doug's 100th birthday on the greens.
Thanks also to Maureen Rowan & Terry Benham who carried on the recent tradition of dressing up as Panto characters and handing out small gifts to all attending members.
A really good day and thanks to all who attended.  Please excuse the pictures as due to technical issues were taken on camera phones etc.

Pirates day Bowls & BBQ  19th August  - 2017

Wow!  What an effort the members made for this annual fun day. Everybody made an effort and dressed up for the occasion. Thanks are due to Maureen Rowan and Judy Vince for organising the food , Terry Benham for orgainising the fun bowls and the for donating the botlle of grog for the "" Bowl To The Parrot"" and of course thanks to Roger Mitchell for manning the Bar.

A really fun day for all who attended as you can see from the following pictures.

President v Captains - Saturday - 22nd April 2017

What a wonderful day for the annual President v Captains Match. The weather was superb and a really great turnout. It was brilliant to see the greens full of members in whites.  APPARENTLY President Janet's  team won by one point but Captain Roger hinted he may take this to the world bowls supreme court.

We were also pleased and proud to welcome Kieran Hogan from our sponsors (Hartford Care - Westcliffe Hall , Hythe)  who presented Waterside Bowls club with a cheque for £1500 sponsorship. We look forward to seeing more of the staff and residents during the coming season.
