Waterside Bowling Club

Welcome to the home of Waterside  Bowls Club, situated in the village of Holbury. We are fortunate to be in the heart of the New Forest National Park and only 10 minutes to the lovely beaches of Calshot and Lepe , the latter with a renowned coastal Country Park.  Waterside Bowling Club (originally Esso Fawley Bowling Club) was formed on 20th May,  1950. The Club has two high standard greens with a total of 12 rinks which we take great pride in maintaining to a high standard. We also emphasise a friendly and fun approach to bowling allied to a varied and competitive programme both internally and in the New Forest and County leagues.  We are affiliated to the Bowls England, Bowls Hampshire, Southampton & District BA & WBA and the New Forest BA & WBA. We also run a very active social calendar where New Members are always welcome.  During the season we hold numerous competitions for both the men and ladies and we ensure all skill levels are catered for and encouraged to take part.  Take a look at the Fixtures/Calendar page for a full list of events during the season. League games for both the Mens and Ladies sections are usually played on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May to end of September allied with an internal mixed league on a Wednesday afternoons. Roll-ups are an integral part of the social side where all abilities are welcome to turn up and have a friendly game.  We also run indoor bowls tours and play regular friendly fixtures.
